Wall of Love
Las Alamandas is such a special place. If you are a traveler who thinks about your footprint this place is heaven. The owner has done an incredible job of caring for the property. She and her staff are stewards of the land and it shows. The rooms are tranquil, the people are friendly and kind, the grounds are gorgeous and very thoughtfully designed and maintained. The setting is unbelievable. The food is delicious. I didn’t want to leave, and I can’t wait to return.

Just spent an amazing week with two of our kids (age 3 and 5) at this extraordinary place and can’t say enough about it. We are Los Angeles based and have made many, many trips to Mexico over the years, hitting many of what are regarded as the finest resorts in a country we love so much. Gulf Coast and Pacific Coast, Cabo, etc. we have been everywhere. We tend to be drawn to the more authentic spots but also expect a level of service and luxury when we travel and a beautiful aesthetic that says Mexico is essential to us. We very much don’t want the chain hotel experience, even if that chain is a luxury brand. With all the uninspired “luxury” resorts that have sprung up in the last 20 years, it is getting harder and harder to find places we would return to. But Las Alamandas had it all. Isabel has built a paradise and staffed it with some of the best people we have ever encountered in the service industry. The food was amazing. The facilities perfect, and while the spacious resort allows for total privacy if you desire it, the other guests we did run into were exactly the kind of folks we like to meet on vacation. Inspired and appreciative of this wonderful place. We were there for Easter and they went out of their way to make it special for our kids. We would do it every year.

What a spectacular resort. My wife and I have been to many places, and this was one of the nicest and most unique properties we have ever stayed at. The resort sits on 2,200 acres and has only 18 units. All of the units are extremely well appointed, and the resort decor is amazing. The staff and management was also great. The owner will stop by at times and she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. There are 3 fully private beaches and privacy is always there. When they say farm to table, they mean it. The menu changed every day and it was just a great vacation. Thank you!

I have gone to many “beach resorts” over the years from Bora Bora to Antigua (and most other Caribbean islands) and to the very remote shores of Ponape. Never have I experienced a place as peaceful and magical as Las Alamandas. My partner and I had the pleasure of being there for 8 nights in an ocean front suite. Each morning, I would slide open the casita door to gaze upon the serenity and beauty of one of the four beaches (note: no pesky bugs). The hotel is quite gracious and gives a complimentary tour of the property so you know how to find the other three beaches!! Our days were filled with horses and kayaks and strolls down deserted beaches. For anyone headed to this part of Mexico, please note: I have been to Cuixmala and El Tamarindo also but the place I wish to return to (over and over) is Las Alamandas!
